The Career Speaker Series held throughout
the year, brings in alumni and industry representatives
to discuss various career paths, industries, functions
and career-management issues.
Shortly before the Winter recess we organize simulated
interviews to help you improve your interviewing skills.
The interviews, conducted by alumni, are videotaped
so that you can see yourself as a recruiter would see
you.

| More than 40 companies come to Ghaziabad to
recruit each year. They represent a variety of industries
and are looking to fill positions all over the country. The
process begins with company presentations which provide an
overview of the organization, industry and career
opportunities. The two-week, on-campus interview period is
scheduled every year - but on-campus interviewing is only a small part
of the recruiting story. This year Banking,Financial
Services and Insurance companies are the leading recruiters |

| Each year we welcome almost 40 organizations to
recruit our participants on campus. The on-campus
recruitment process is outlined below. |

|
A critical part of your recruiting effort is providing
participants with job descriptions and information
about your organization. Participants read this information
carefully to evaluate their interest in a company
and in preparation for an interview. Job descriptions
should include position title, responsibilities,
qualifications and job location. The literature that
recruiters send typically includes annual reports,
press releases and product or recruiting brochures.
All information is kept in the Career Services Library
for reference. |

Recruiters provide an initial list of interview
candidates by mid January , which is made available
to the participants. In general, this initial selection
is based on the Resume Portfolio and/or interaction
with participants at the company presentation. Participants
have the opportunity to 'accept' or 'decline' an
interview, which ensures that recruiters are interviewing
interested candidates. If any interview slots become
available, recruiters may fill them with alternate
candidates. The final interview list will be confirmed
two weeks prior to the interview date. |

| Companies may contact participants directly via the
contact information found in the Résumé Portfolio.
This method is recommended for companies with very specific
job requirements. |
